Bonds of the Ministry of Finance in the amount of 40 bln Rubles (USD550mln) are listed on AIX

Astana International Exchange (“AIX”, “Exchange”) is pleased to announce that the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, represented by the Ministry of Finance, has issued and placed Russian RUB-denominated bonds on AIX and Moscow Exchange (MOEX). These four series amounted 10 bln Rubles each; two tranches are to mature 2031 with two others in 2026 and 2028 accordingly. The amount of 7.76 bln Rubles (an equivalent of US$ 107 mln) has been raised on AIX.

First Heartland Securities (FHS), has been mandated to lead the offering on AIX. The Eurasian Development Bank, Sberbank CIB, the Moscow Credit Bank, Gazprombank and VTB Capital have been Co-Lead Managers at MOEX. The EDB’s presence in the transaction as one of the organizers, which is a trading member on AIX and on most of the national exchanges of the EAEU countries, allowed investors to participate in the transaction both on AIX and MOEX.

This is the fourth listing of the Ministry’s bonds on AIX.
