Total traded value on AIX in October was USD 114 mln, KZT 48 bln

Astana International Exchange (AIX) presents its market operational update for October 2021. Total traded value for the period was USD 114,349,200 equivalent to KZT 48,693,321,552.80[1], which is 5.5 times more than in September 2021.

In October AIXQI recorded another new all-time high since its launch, rising by 13,8%, from 1,031.61 to 1,173.98, with all index constituents ending the month  in  green territory. Top-performing shares were Kazatomprom, Kaspi, Central Asia Metal and Polymetal with increases of 35.8%, 23.24%, 11.76% and 11.52% respectively. Shares of AIXQI’s banking sector also showed growth with Bank Center Credit (9.93%) and Halyk Bank (5.14%). Shares of Kazakhtelecom (up 3.14%) and KazTransOil  (+1.83%) posted more modest gains.

The Astana International Financial Centre was created by the initiative of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Leader of the Nation, Nur-Sultan Nazarbayev as part of the “100 steps to implement five institutional reforms” national program.
